Events

Oh, we are excited for this! Our final Winter Speaker Series brings Steve Swenson to Bellingham.

Join world-class alpinist Steve Swenson as he shares stories and images from his book Karakoram: Climbing Through the Kashmir Conflict (Mountaineers Books, April 2017) which details his nearly four decades of climbing in the Karakoram Range that spans Pakistan, India and China. Through a 45-minute multimedia presentation, Steve explores the nature of high altitude, alpine climbing, the complexities of mounting remote expeditions, the geo political workings of the contested area, as well as his passion for the cultural communities in this region of the world. Event to be followed by a Q&A and author book signing. For more about Karakoram, see www.karakorambook.com.
